VIDES Canada
VIDES Canada is a volunteer missioner organization that is dedicated to education and development for children, youth and women in situations of poverty, marginalization, or difficulty, both in Canada and worldwide.
VIDES Canada is part of VIDES International — an International Voluntary Organization founded in 1987 by the Salesian Sisters. We are a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to empowering and enriching the lives of young people by providing them with the opportunity to engage in meaningful international volunteer experiences. The central focus of our volunteer missions is the education and development of underprivileged children, youth, and women.
VIDES has a special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social council (ECOSOC) and are associated with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations.
VIDES is an organization that is promoted by the Institute of the FMA (Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice or “Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.”)
